Squack This is the police! - Dream
She didn’t answer, so I went next door and asked the neighbor for help. Of course he didn’t know the secret code nor the pin # to disable the alarm system. We looked at the instructions for a while. We ended up attempting to build a nesting box for a pair of birds.
Then I woke up.

Water world! - Dream
I was skin diving off the coast of somewhere behind my dad’s boat as the rest of the family drift fished. I had seen many mahi mahi around the boat but nothing was taking the bait. All of a sudden a blue marlin surfaced and took on of the surface baits. My dad grabbed the pole that was used for pushing flats boats around the shallow waters in search of bonefish and tossed it at the marlin. He hit it in the head and paralyzed the huge fish. I swim up to it and pose for a picture with the fish in my arms.
Shortly thereafter, I put my mask back on and look under the boat. It is very close to hitting an artificial reef. The bottom of the reef consists of many OMC and Mercury boat propellers of varying sizes. On top of the props is rock and coral. This was all a base for a wooden hut structure above the water. A bunch of my friends were in the shade singing “Celebrate, Celebrate, Dance to the music” over and over again. I ended up on the wooden structure and picked up a plastic gallon zip lock bag of sugar which spilled out as I lifted it. I zipped it up and put the bag down. I looked around to see many other wooden hut structures on the water down the coast and then I wake up.

Strawberry Fields Forever - Dream
While we are all standing there I reach out and snag a handful of strawberries from the bunch in Q's hand and start munching on them. I ask if they are organic and she says yes. They are very sweet and juicy.
All of a sudden she levitates and starts flying around a few feet off the ground. My friends don't think anything of it (like they've seen it all before) and go on their way. I can't believe my eyes that she is flying around carrying a stalk/bunch of strawberries in her hand.
She flies down the street and waves to one of her friends who is also flying. Q says “hey watch this" and clears a building at the end of the road. The building reminded me of the Lincoln Memorial building. He friend also flies over the building and then I wake up.

Don't Blink! Don't Shut your eyes!
Blink has to be the scariest episode of Dr.Who to date.
When the weeping angels, who are actually space creatures that you can't see until you blink or look away, are encroaching on the Sally Sparrow in the house, I actually jumped.
I loved the end of the episode when they show gargoyals and statues around the world... making us wonder if they are really the creatures from the show.
Awesome!

Lot-O-Hooks - Dream
I walk past where the play is going on to find that it was over. The playwright had some comments for me in the credits that I saw as I walked by the outdoor stage area. Mom and Dad were watching the credits. I could tell that she was mad at me, so I kept on walking to the house.
When I arrived, my brother and Adrian, a kid we knew in the Keys, were there washing dishes. I went around the back of the house near the pool to drop off my bucket and entered the rear of the house through the sliding glass doors. Adrian handed me a small white net as I walked in the door. I promptly inspected the net and dropped it into the hook bucket.
Shortly thereafter Mom and Dad came home arguing as they walked in the front door.
That’s when I woke up…. Right around the time when the cat puked on the floor and Carol rose to clean it. I think that was around 3:11 am.

Niles Channel Bridge - Dream
There are two vehicles ahead of me a car and then a SUV towing a cargo trailer.
All of a sudden the SUV jack knifes the cargo trailer and stuff flies out.
They stop on the highest point of the bridge. It then becomes daytime for some reason and I swerve to the right barely missing the passenger getting out of the SUV.
Then I woke up because I thought that I heard the cat puke on the floor. I was unable to locate the ghastly upchuck on the new carpet.

Artsy - Dream
My Neighbor is teaching an art class to many of my former classmates. They asked my why I was here. I said I had already renewed the sticker on my truck but I was told by the officer that I had to be in this line. I wasn’t sure why. I then said “But If I had not ended up in this line, I wouldn’t have been able to see my old classmates again. They all went “awe how sweet”.
The teacher handed out a picture that we had to copy but the lines were not detailed. I took it to a window so I could let the light shine through and trace the edges. One of the girl classmates joined me at the window, but then we couldn’t hear what the teacher was saying so we went back to our desks. That class ended and I wasn’t sure where to go next. It was just like every year of high school… lost for a week until I figured out where my classes were.
This nice man who was building a house in the Cayman Islands helped me find my next class. It was in a room where a bar was setup around 3 sides. They made me a cranberry drink and toasted a bagel. I don’t recall asking for any of this.
Then I woke Up.

I'm pretty sure none of us had this gear when growing up and we turned out OK.

Trying something new part I ...
I decided to put down a layer of newspaper in my veggie garden area to see if it will help with the weeds. Part I is pictured below
I had mulch around the immediate base of the plants (tomatoes, squash and cukes)so that's what you see on the newspaper in the pic. The cukes are on the far right next to the fence. The plant in the middle of the picture produces an awesome large pink flower. I think it is in the hibiscus family.
I plan to be at my mulch place when the open at 0800 and return with a yard of mulch to top all the newspaper with.
Here's a shot of some soon to be yummy matoes!

My Boating weekend
I took a road that was paralleling hwy 70 for a few miles and ended up in Selma. Yet another town I had not been to and yep… you guessed it… another intersection with no damn street signs or none that I could see in my current state and the time of the night.
I end up making it to Goldsboro around 10:30 I think. I helped load the boat at that point. After the loading process we checked the tires on the trailer to find two of them low on air. We crank up the air compressor and attempt to pump the tires up. We end then find out that one of the tires has a rotted valve stem. We promptly pull that tire off and put the spare on. All fixed! NOT! The other tire on the same side also has a rotted valve stem.
At this point, we know our 0600 departure time is now pushed out until at least 0800 as we need to find a tire shop open in the morning on a Saturday. By the time all this happens, it is almost 23:30. We were tired and went to sleep.
The next morning we called around and found out that Firestone opens at 0700, so we show up at their door around 0650. They promptly take care of us and we head home, bolt the tires to the trailer and are on our way. We get to Beaufort and drive down the road to the ramp we’ve used for years now only to find that it no longer exists. It’s been sold to a condo developer. RATS!
Never fear… there is a wildlife ramp a few miles down the road and we launch the boat.
We saw about 12 wild horses on the islands. That's them waaaaay in the background.
We saw Dolphins.
I hooked a huge amberjack but it broke my line.

New Aquarium for 2007
We redecorated our 90 gallon aquarium yesterday this past weekend.
Our Tiger oscar passed away so we seized the opportunity to setup a planted tank with small schooling fish. This is something we have wanted to try for a long time.
The inhabitants at this time are 3 silver dollars, 5 neon tetras, and 5 white cloud danios.
The silver dollars are real troopers. They are our oldest fish right now only because they survived the week without power a few years ago.
The plants in the tank are 1 Onion plant, 1 baby tears, 1 red tiger lotus, and 1 ludwigia.
Here's a short video.

The Spoiled Under 30 Crowd
THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!!
If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!!
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious
diatribes about how hard things were when they were growing up; what
with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning ... uphill BOTH ways
.. yadda, yadda, yadda
And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in
hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard
I had it and how easy they've got it! But now that... I'm over the ripe
old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of
today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you
live in a damn Utopia! And I hate to say it but you kids today you don't know how
good you've got it!
I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have The Internet. If we wanted to
Know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up
ourselves, in the card catalog!!
There was no email! ! We had to actually write somebody a letter ...
with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put
it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there!
There were no MP3's or Napsters! You wanted to steal music, you had to
hitchhike to the damn record store and shoplift it yourself!
Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ'd
usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up!
We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone
And somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it!
And we didn't have fancy Caller ID Boxes either! When the phone rang,
You had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your mom, your
boss, Your bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you just didn't
know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!
We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with
high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like
"Space Invaders" and "asteroids" and the graphics sucked ass! Your guy was a little
square! You actually had to use your imagination! And there were no multiple
levels or screens, it was just o ne screen forever!
And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder
And faster and faster until you died! . Just like LIFE!
When you went to the movie theater there no such thing as stadium
seating! All the seats were the same height! If a tall guy or some old
broad with a hat sat in front of you and you couldn't see, you were just screwed!
Sure, we had cable television, but back then that was only like 15
channels and there was no onscreen menu and no remote control! You had to use a
little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on!
You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off
Your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel and there was no
Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning.
Do you hear what I'm saying!?! We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you
spoiled little rat-bastards!
And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat something up . we
Had to use the stove or go build a frigging fire ... imagine that! If we
Wanted popcorn, we had to use that stupid Jiffy Pop thing and shake it
over the stove forever like an idiot.
That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too
easy. You're spoiled.
You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980!
Regards,
The over 30 Crowd

Why Did I do this!?
I borrowed my Father-in-Law’s pressure washer (thanks Royce!) and was cleaning the front of the house.
That turned into me cleaning the brick walkway that leads to the front door. I accidentally let the high pressure stream of water graze the driveway.
It blasted the black junk off with ease. Before I knew it, I had cleaned a 3x1 section. Then I did an entire section of the driveway.
It looks very good, but I have to do the whole thing now or it will look ghetto.

Great White Sharks
Sharks have always fascinated me. They’re such perfect killing machines with rows of teeth that replace themselves regularly without thought. We should have such a perfect tooth replacement system. They can smell blood at 1ppm (part per million)and even have a nictitating membrane that covers their eyes milliseconds before they attack to protect them.
The picture above which was verified by Snopes as being authentic.
You all may think I'm out of my gourd, but I would really like to do a cage dive to see these awesome creatures first hand.
I might be obsessed as my myspace page has a very skurry( thanks Hi C) background of a White Shark head with gaping Jaws.

Psycho cardinal captured on video!
I caught him on video this time.
Anyone have an idea on how to stop him that doesn't entail bodily harm to the bird? ;)
One person suggessted hanging a bottle of ammonia to the mirror.
I really don't want to have to worry about making slip covers for my truck mirrors as well as having to remember to take them on and off.

Psycho cardinal
Since Springtime I have noticed sratches on my side view mirrors and wondered what was making them. I found out the other morning and finally was able to snap a pic of the culprit!
I suppose he is fighting with his reflection in the mirror and window. The pic doesn't really show him in action. I tried to get a video but he left before I could do so. Stay Tuned...
A google search found me this site
Psycho Cardinal
by Marsha Stephens
Saturday morning (July 10)
"I awoke to hear a strange scratching sound coming from the roof. Atfirst I thought it may have been squirrels cavortingaround, but it seemed to persistent. I went outside to have a look and discovered that a male cardinal was the source of the noise. I have a woodstove with adouble-wall, shiny stainless steel pipe that comes outthe roof. He would flutter up and down two feet of thepipe, attacking his reflection, pause, and then do itagain. He finally stopped when full sun hit the area.I was hoping he'd have enough sense to stop in theheat. Interesting twist to the problems folks have sited previously on this list regarding cardinals at-tacking windows and car mirrors."
Why can't the stupid bird go find an old crappy car to scratch up the mirrors and windows on. Leave my fairly new truck alone. Stupid bird!
I think I'll have to put covers on the side view mirrors to see if that stops the madness!
Towing my Boat in Miami - Dream
I knew the custom Westers' tune that I had installed would make the truck be very peppy with that octane. The fuel delivery finished and the pump asked if I wanted a car wash. For some reason I said yes (which I never do because I only hand wash my baby). We then walked inside to get sodas. When I was at the counter getting ready to pay, I saw a young kid with a pressure washer spraying down my truck. I pay for the sodas and go see what he’s doing. He says this is the carwash that I paid for at the pump. I let him finish and 4 of us get into the truck. Carol myself the carwash guy and some other person I do not know. We drive around Miami with my boat in tow until the carwash guy says he needs get back to work. I make a right turn into a parking lot with only one way in and out. They have those parking space markers painted in white around the perimeter of the lot. I decide that I’m in a truck and can make it over the parking space markers ( even with my boat in tow) and whip the truck around and head back in the direction we came.
Then I woke up.

I ended up in the patrol office with this guy from Prison Break suturing two holes in my belly. He kept sticking the needle in for fun and then pulling them back out. He did this multiple times. This first attemp is from someone at this domain. I guess they are bored with learning about music and theatre? Who can blame them... there isn't much of a future from such a place unless they are planning on breaking into the Estonian film/acting industry or creating a band... " The Rolling Estonians" maybe?.
Maybe they are attempting to be an ethical hacker and land a job at the FBI?
Some of you may be wondering why I am up at such an ungodly hour on a Sunday. The answer to that is the cat... He did his almost nighly puke on our bedroom floor and it wakes me up. &^#&^$%@(!)$% cat.

Flying Dogs? (Gargoyale) - Dream
I was sitting at home in front of my computer and someone sends me an instant message on Windows Live messenger.
They ask me if I’ve seen the flying dogs yet. I tell them no and shrug off the incident. Shortly thereafter, I hear a commotion outside and see the neighbors pointing at the trees. I then see something swoop down out of the trees. It looks like a large dog with wings. I run outside to get a closer look and end up in a Tahoe by the side of the street with on of my friend’s old girlfriends.
She puts down the window and a baby flying dog makes it inside the vehicle. It is on the floor scratching my legs and flapping its wings. I keep telling her to grab it and toss it out the window. She is finally able to do so. Then I woke up.

Roadway Litterbugs! UGH
Just about every day on my drive to and from work I see a cigarette butt get tossed out the window. It irks me to no end. Why can't they use an ashtray and dump those gross little mouth tirds in the trash where they belong?
NC has given me a way to report these litterbugs!
I use the voice recording feature of my mobile phone and record the Plate and location. Once a week ( or when I run out of space on my phone) I use the site above and report these do no gooders!
They supposedly get a nice letter from the State.
Does it do any good? Who knows, but I sure feel better about reporting them. ;)
One of the best parts of Spring and Summer!
Picnic on Tarpon Belly
One of my co-workers (Michael Lemon) catches the last boat to the island with a commercial fisherman I knew on Summerland. I end up swimming around Summerland Key to the main highway (US1) where I stop by my favorite bait and tackle store. I need to buy some chips for the picnic. I end up paying $3.24 for a small bag of Tostitos scoops. I pay for it with a soaking wet $5 bill (wet from my swim around the island) and am on my way. Somehow, I end up getting a ride with this middle age guy down blimp road to his house. He’s going to loan me his 12 ft Jon boat with a 15 HP Mariner outboard so I can get to the party/picnic on Tarpon Belly. Halfway down the road to his house, we see a puff of smoke. Someone has started a fire in a white 55 gallon drum right on the edge of the road. We just barely make it by without dipping the truck in the water to the right. The gas tank is half full and the boat has water in it. The 3 drawer tackle box in the boat has no clasp to hold the lid to the bottom. I had to grab the tackle box by the bottom and top to lift it out of the boat. Finally I shove off from the dock and start the motor and begin to idle away from the dock. I then hear two kids say they need rides to the local college to take a networking class that I supposedly teach there. I tell them that they’ll have to find their own ride. I bring the boat up on a plane and wake up.

Scary Feral Bobcat Sound Dream
Carol and I are in some city where the buildings are two stories and you can get to all the roofs via cement staircases.
We hear what sounds like a bobcat growl and go to where the sound was thought to have emanated from to find a human skeleton stripped to the bones. The odd thing is that the teeth are not attached to the skull and still have pinkish gums above the teeth. At this point we are scared to death and wonder what the heck can be doing such a thing. We hear the sound again and quickly run away from it. Curiosity gets the best of me and I have to see if the same thing has happened again. It has… bones and teeth with gums attached.
We then see a large woman about to wade across a shallow 6 ft deep pond. We see her go underwater as she walks but she doesn’t appear on the other side. We fear that she too has met the same fate as the other two people. We never get to investigate because I wake up at that point.

Jackie Chan! - Dream
Jackie and I then moved on but he soon got sidetracked in a liquor store. Then I woke up.

Today's Dream
At first, I'm with my parents in a strange house. Dad has a new dog that doesn't mind very well and he is telling it to get into a crate that is next to the bed. The crate looks more like a nightstand with a door. The Brindle colored lab does NOT want to enter the box/crate, so Dad ends up getting angry.
The next part, my brother and I are going fishing in my boat in the islands somewhere. We have to idle down this channel to the end where there is just enough room for one small boat to squeeze between two rocks to get to the open water. It is difficult to make it though because swimmers keep passing RIGHT in front of the opening. A boater behind me finally gets mad and shoves my boat out of the way and slips through the rocks and takes off.
I then see my moment and make it through only to end up in a swimming pool and my boat about to sink. Oddly enough, the life jackets in the boat sink as well along with an egg sinker.
I dive down to retrieve the life vests and sinker and then push my boat to the surface of the water and get back in.
That's all I remember... Thanks for reading!

Yet Another Keys Dream
I was at my friend Scott Pillar's house on Park Drive on Summerland Key, FL. All of his family were there hanging out. We were getting ready to go out for some water sports on his boat.
It turns out that he had recently been to the Philippines and had some ritual done where they embed a small crab in his neck. His brothers were in the other room digging the crab out of his neck. Outside on the dock, there were about a dozen loaded spear guns.

Odd Dream
I had a bunch of my stuff from the graduation in the building nearby which must have been an island. An old childhood friend named Matt Lampton arrived with our old boat the T-Craft. His outboard engine was an old piece of junk mercury inline 3 banger with no motor cover. Dad was in the water at the transom and his black baggy swimsuit drifted into the prop just as Matt put the motor in gear.
I was already in the boat and bolted to the aft of the boat to help. That's why I woke up.

Props go out to Jeni Q for setting me up with my starter worms! She lives in Raleigh and has turned out to be a good friend and source of information.
While I didn't count the # of worms that I started out with, I do feel like my population has quadrupled! I'm totally stoked!

Race Boat Dream
We got into a fight, then I went outfront to look at the neighbors race boat. I had not been washed since the last time it was in the water. I could taste the salt water on the outdrives and see dirt on them. This isn't good for a race boat. I decided to hitch up to the boat and back the trailer into the water and start the engines to run them a little. I would then rince it off and wipe it down.
Dad reminded me that there was a race the next day and washing it off would be a waste of time. The boat was back infront of the house now and the owners were working on it while a lady played the bagpipes. I walked back to our house next door and then I woke up.

I was taking two classes somewhere as well as putting in a wood parquet floor in two of the classrooms. I had a box of the wrong material which had to be returned.
I was also at a park somehwere and I heard a baby crying. There was one in a culvert pipe. Another person was there who also heard the sound. He was infront of the pipe and I was on top of it. The baby then came out of the end and fell a few feet to the ground.
Then Carol's alarm went off and it's still dark outside cause some brillant people decided to push up the date for DST.
The only good thing about DST is that we have more light after work :)

First Dream of the New Year!
We then checked out the new addition to his house that had AC and everything nice. I was in the process of checking out the TV when I noticed a bombox precariously balanced infront of the TV. As soon as I touched it, it started to teeter and almost fell over. I caught it just in time.
We then were in the back yard trying to devise a way to drag in the large tiger sharks that we caught. I saw an old beatup sailboat with a 15 HP engine on the back putter down the canal and then my parent's went down the canal under tow. The 140 HP engine on their boat blew a cylinder.
That's when I woke up.
