Subject: [CVNA] City of Durham Opens North Durham Dog Park

Durham, N.C. – Dog lovers in Durham now have a new dog park to enjoy

thanks to the City of Durham Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR).

The North Durham Dog Park, located in Northgate Park off West Lavender

Avenue, opened its gates May 1 to all dogs pre-registered with DPR. All

dogs must wear their DPR tag at all times while in the park. As an added

bonus for the opening of the new park, tags issued in the months of May

and June will be valid until June 2008.

The park will be monitored for compliance and tickets will be issued to

all non-registered dogs and their owners. For registration information

and rules, residents should visit the City’s web site at

www.durhamnc.gov/departments/parks/dog.cfm

<http://www.durhamnc.gov/departments/parks/dog.cfm>, or call (919)

560-4355, extension 220 or e-mail durhamdogpark@durhamnc.gov
